Does Ethical Capitalism Pencil Out?
Read enough about the history of Mercantilism, Colonialism, Industrialism and Capitalism, and it seems that someone and something are always being damaged in the process. A few examples that come to mind quickly:
- Slavery, particularly US Slavery, which drove the world economies for cotton, tobacco, sugar cane and more.
- Being a peasant in most countries, at most times.
